EC7: Nijat Guliyev
Introduction
Hey there!
Nijat, or Nej if you prefer, checking in! It's always a pleasure to reconnect with the CDN family, and here I am, very motivated, applying for the EC once more.
A little about me: I'm deeply passionate about artivism, and I'm actually the brain behind the Queer Art Fest Baku, a project close to my heart that was made possible with the support of a local action funded by CDN! Aside from my artivism, I have a soft spot for film photography. While I've admittedly been a bit lazy with it lately, I'm hoping to dust off my trusty point-and-shoot camera these months.
When it comes to my background, it's all about community building and I have been working with and for the queer community in Azerbaijan over the past 6 years. Also, over the past four years, I've immersed myself in the world of greens, finding tons of joy in fostering communities and growing up in their communal love and care. It's a feeling like no other, and I couldn't be more thrilled to dive back into the EC to help nourish this sense of togetherness within our green family once again.
